Dave Habeeb, Editor Dave Habeeb

Interested in film-making since the 8th grade, Dave has produced many of his own "backyard" productions over the years. He has worked with film formats such as 8mm, super-8, and 16mm and video formats such as reel-to-reel black and white, Betacam SP, DV-CAM, MiniDV, good old VHS and now…HD. His popular classics, among his family and friends anyway, include Rico's Revenge, The Black Case, and Last Day on Earth.

Dave graduated from Fitchburg State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Film-making and Video Production. Some of his work has been featured in Visions – an end-of-year showcase of exceptional work produced by students. After working freelance for several Boston-area production companies, Dave attended Emerson College in Boston and earned his Master of Arts in Mass Communication. As part of his Master’s Thesis project, he produced The Magic Kite - a children's video which earned him an EVVY Award for Best Videography. The video was also nominated for Best Editing.

Since May of '94, Dave has worked in the Information Technology Group at the Harvard Business School. He held the position as head of the multimedia group from January 2000 through January 2007. He is currently a Lead Multimedia Developer at Harvard and works with his team as producer and editor of multimedia and video case studies. In his spare time, he does freelance production and post-production work and has created product for such clients as King Arthur Flour Company, Lee Estridge & Associates, AdvancingWellness, and the band EJ Ouellette & Crazy Maggy.

Dave feels very fortunate to have such a great network of family and friends who have always been there to participate in his various film projects and offer support. He notes, "There's nothing like having the opportunity to tell a story on film and working to get reactions from an audience. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything."
